Products : Fitting cloth
Correctly fitted cloth ensures perfect snooker and pool playing conditions
Properly fitted cloth on both the bed and cushions is essential to ensure optimal playing conditions and longer wear performance.
When having your cloth fitted, it is best to use qualified and experienced fitters.
Bedcloth
You need to focus on tightness, even tension and re-stretching to get the most out of our cloth.
- Tightness. Bedcloth should be fitted tightly to the bed of the table. If the cloth is slack it can cause loss of speed, premature wear and possible damage to the cloth.
- Even tension. Fit the cloth with even tension over the bed to prevent uneven wear and the resultant ball deviation.
- Re-stretching. This should be done after six months. It lengthens its life and correct playing characteristics.
Cushions
Correct tension and fixing will ensure that you get optimal performance out of your table.
- Correct tension. The cushion cloth should be fitted tightly (with even tension) over the cushion rubber. If it is too tight the nose of the cushion rubber will be pulled down. If it is too uneven, puckering will occur.
- Fixing. Cushions should be bolted tightly and evenly to the table to ensure the bedcloth stays tensioned and the correct ball response is achieved from the rubbers.
If you need your cloth refitted, you should consider Sampson Distributors. We’ll ensure that your snooker or pool table is fitted correctly so that you can get optimal use out of it.
